Trevor Immelman, Daniel Chopra, Joe Durant
Tee time:
8:53 a.m.
Tee: No. 10
Total TOUR wins: 8
Why you should watch: Masters champions have historically done pretty well in their first TOUR start after trying on the Green Jacket. Maybe it's because they're still floating on Cloud Nine. Chopra won the season-opener in Kapalua, but has struggled a bit since. Durant had three top-10 finishes in his first six starts this year, but has missed his last two cuts.

2008 stat comparison
Player Events played Cuts Made 1st 2nd 3rd Top 10 Top 25 Scoring Avg.
Immelman 9 5 1 -- -- 1 2 70.78
Chopra 13 8 1 -- -- 1 1 71.15
Durant 11 8 -- -- -- 1 4 70.85

Scott Verplank, Mark Wilson, Troy Matteson
Tee time:
9:12 a.m.
Tee: No. 10
Total TOUR wins: 7
Why you should watch: Who can forget Verplank looking up at the heavens after winning last year's tournament -- the first since Nelson, Verplank's mentor, passed away. As was the case last year, Verplank enters with his game in a bit of disarray -- he hasn't had a top-30 since he tied for fifth at the Northern Trust Open in February. But as we found out, history is not always indicative of future results.

2008 stat comparison
Player Events played Cuts Made 1st 2nd 3rd Top 10 Top 25 Scoring Avg.
Verplank 9 6 -- -- -- 1 3 71.49
Wilson 10 8 -- -- -- 1 3 70.69
Matteson 10 5 -- 1 -- 2 3 71.14

Justin Leonard, Adam Scott, Sergio Garcia
Tee time:
1:29 p.m.
Tee: No. 1
Total TOUR wins: 22
Why you should watch: As if you need an excuse to watch this threesome. Leonard was picked by many of our experts to win this week. He hasn't missed a cut all season. He's playing in his hometown tournament and he's riding back-to-back top-20s. Other than his withdrawal in Houston a few weeks ago, Scott hasn't finished outside the top 25 all year. Garcia, meanwhile, is trying to rebound from a missed cut at the Masters.

2008 stat comparison
Player Events played Cuts Made 1st 2nd 3rd Top 10 Top 25 Scoring Avg.
Leonard 11 11 -- 1 -- 4 6 70.46
Scott 5 5 -- -- -- 1 4 70.01
Garcia 6 5 -- -- -- -- 2 70.20
