Pick: Stewart Cink
Cink will roll into lovely and laid-back Hilton Head Island coming off a tie for third at the Masters, which was his fourth top-3 finish of 2008. The confidence that he'll possess has to do with his score on Sunday -- an even-par 72. Aside from the runner-up finish to Tiger Woods in the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship, which wasn't pretty, Cink has had a serious case of the ugly Sundays when in contention. He shot 73 in the final round of the Buick Invitational when the rest of the field got lapped by Woods to finish in a tie for third, and had a tie for second at the PODS Championship, but closed with a 74. Cink has been knocking on the door a lot lately and might finally kick it in at the Verizon Heritage, where -- by the way -- he's a two-time champion.

Pick: Jim Furyk
I thought he'd come through for his first PGA TOUR victory since July 2007 at last month's World Golf Championships-CA Championship but Furyk fell just short to Geoff Ogilvy. Besides that runner-up finish he's had three other top 25s this season. Furyk's played in Hilton Head, S.C., for years and has recently put together a couple of strong finishes there, including two consecutive second places in 2005 and 2006.

Pick: Stewart Cink
He was on my mind even before his tie for third at Augusta National. Two wins here and is on a roll. He's got the game, he's got the focus coming out of the first major of the year.

Pick: Boo Weekley
Boo is defending his only PGA TOUR win this week and he seems to be excited to return to South Carolina. He's reliving the hype and media attention and I think ready to make the magic happen all over again in Harbour Town. Boo had an impressive showing at his first Masters last week, finishing tied for 20th. He's had a strong start to his season, with three top-10s and seven top-25s in his 11 starts this year. In addition, in 2007 he entered the Verizon Heritage 36th in the FedExCup sstandings and this year is just slightly ahead of pace in the 33rd spot. Look again for Boo's game to peak this week.

Pick: Zach Johnson

Zach Johnson has proven that he can play anywhere. But he has only won on the PGA TOUR in the state of Georgia. Hilton Head is about as close to the state of Georgia as you can get and be in South Carolina. As a matter of fact, Augusta isn't that far from Carolina either. Besides proximity, Harbour Town should be a perfect lay out for Zach. It is a thinking man's golf course that poses a complete test all the way through the bag for the best players in the world. Zach is coming off a great defense last week at the Masters and with all that goes into being the defending champ there he can just concentrate on golf this week.

He's won at Harbour Town twice before, and he's probably overdue for a win in 2008. With no Tiger to worry about, let's put Cink in the winner's circle.

Pick: Aaron Baddeley
The young Aussie was a Masters favorite but missed the cut. He should be fresh for a run at a second title at Harbour Town.

PIck: Stewart Cink
Stewart Cink is a victory waiting to happen, and what better place than at Harbour Town? He's won two times at Hilton Head -- in 2000 and 2004 -- and he returns to the Verizon Heritage playing well with four top-three finishes this year, including a tie for third last week at the Masters.

Pick: Jerry Kelly
Six years is too long without a victory for a player of Kelly's consistency. Historically, he performs well on shorter courses - Harbour Town is under 7,000 yards. Two aspects of his game match up with Pete Dye's tiny greens; He is ninth on TOUR in approach shot proximity from 100-125 yards, and a 91 percent conversion rate on putts from inside of 10 feet. Tartain jacket time.
