SAN DIEGO -- After three days on antibiotics and bed rest, Phil Mickelson said Tuesday he is feeling much better and will make his 6:42 a.m. tee time Wednesday in the Buick Invitational pro-am. He also has scheduled a practice session with Butch Harmon Wednesday afternoon.

"I'm feeling much, much better," said Mickelson. "I'm happy about that and looking forward to working with Butch to make sure everything's in order for this week."
That clears the way for his 18th consecutive appearane in the tournament, his 16th as a professional. His first win as a PGA TOUR member came at the 1993 Buick Invitational. Mickelson trailed Dave Rummells after nine holes on Sunday but shot 31 on the back and 65 for the day to win by four shots.
He has won twice since at Torrey Pines, shooting 31 on the final nine to win by four in 2000 and end Tiger Woods' six-tournament winning streak, and again, in 2001, with a double bogey on the third playoff hole against Frank Lickliter III.
Following the Buick Invitational, Mickelson plans to play the FBR Open, the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, the Northern Trust Open and the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship.
