Here's an oddity. Through the first 22 events of the season, no tournament had co-leaders entering the final round. That ended this past week at the Walmart First Tee Open at Pebble Beach when four players shared the lead heading into Sunday.

When Jeff Sluman won last week's stop at the Walmart First Tee Open at Pebble Beach, it was his second win of the season, and it marked the first time in Sluman's PGA TOUR/Champions Tour career that he has posted multiple wins in a season.
Phil Blackmar finished in a tie for fourth at last week's Walmart First Tee Open at Pebble Beach for his best start to date on the Champions Tour. It was also his best finish since winning the 1997 Shell Houston Open.
Jay Haas remains in the lead of the Charles Schwab Cup standings, holding a 98-point advantage over Bernhard Langer. And Fred Funk continues to close the gap. He's in third, 269 points behind. Eduardo Romero and Scott Hoch make up the remainder of the top five. Jeff Sluman, who won the Walmart First Tee Open at Pebble Beach, his second victory of the season, moved into the top 10. He is in eighth place.
The Charles Schwab Cup, designed to recognize the Champions Tour's leading player, is a season-long bonus-points competition. Players receive points for top-10 finishes at all 29 official events based on each week's money distribution, with $1,000 earned the equivalent of one Charles Schwab Cup point (points are doubled at the five major championships and the season-ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship). The program offers $2.1 million in tax-deferred annuity payouts to the five leading finishers, with the winner receiving a $1 million annuity.
