Welcome to the month of March. It's a month for Madness. A time when we should beware the ides. And an important month in the history of the Champions Tour.

Do you remember these dates in history? Take a look at several of the memorable moments that have happened on the PGA TOUR and Champions Tour:

• 3/1/81 -- Andy Bean claims his seventh PGA TOUR title when he pulls away for a seven-stroke victory over Tom Watson at the Bay Hill Classic. Bean's 72-hole scorecard includes a second-round 62.

• 3/1/96 -- The Stockton family makes history when Dave (Champions Tour), Dave, Jr. (PGA TOUR/Doral Ryder Open) and Ron (Nike Inland Empire Open) all compete the same day in PGA TOUR sanctioned events.

• 3/2/86 -- After Monday qualifying for The Honda Classic, Kenny Knox grabbed the first-round lead with a 66 and then survived a third-round 80 before closing with a 70 for a one-stroke win over Andy Bean, Jodie Mudd, John Mahaffey and Clarence Rose.

• 3/3/02 -- After making birdie on the final hole in regulation, Tom Kite makes par on the second playoff hole to defeat Tom Watson at the SBC Senior Classic near Los Angeles.

• 3/3/85 -- Curtis Strange defeats Peter Jacobsen with a par on the first playoff hole to win the Honda Classic.

• 3/4/84 -- Trailing by four strokes in the final round, Bruce Lietzke birdied two of the last three holes, including No. 18 to force a playoff with Andy Bean at the Honda Classic at the TPC Eagle Trace. Lietzke quickly ended the event when he made par on the first extra hole for his 10th career title on the PGA TOUR.

• 3/4/90 -- Lee Trevino makes it three wins in four starts on the Champions Tour in the 1990 season when he prevails at the Vintage Chrysler Invitational near Palm Springs. He is one better than Dale Douglass, Don Massengale and Mike Hill.

• 3/5/89 -- Miller Barber wins the last of his 24 Champions Tour titles when he claims the Vintage Chrysler Invitational by one stroke over Don Bies, Bob Charles and Larry Mowry.

• 3/6/94 -- Trailing Jim Colbert by ten strokes heading into the final round at the GTE West Classic in Ojai, Calif., Jay Sigel shoots a final-round 62 to catch Colbert at the wire and then wins the tournament with a birdie on the fourth extra hole.

• 3/7/82 -- Trailing third-round leader Jack Nicklaus by six strokes, Tom Kite shoots a closing-round 69 to get in a playoff with Nicklaus and Denis Watson at the Bay Hill Invitational. Kite wins when he makes birdie on the first playoff hole.
