TOURNAMENT RECAP: It was an inspired Davis Love III who took a four-shot victory with a 273 total, beating Tom Watson, Ian Baker-Finch, Nick Faldo and Phil Blackmar. Love was spurred on when he overheard people betting on his chances of making par on the difficult eighth and didn't like the odds they were giving him. "I got a little mad and decided I was going to try and pitch in," he said. When he succeeded, he turned around and said: "I hope you all lost." Fred Couples set the course record with a third-round 63.
