Not only did Andres Romero win on the PGA TOUR in 2008, but he also finished in the top 10 at the Masters -- it was his first appearance at Augusta National -- and PGA Championship. Romero was one of just 11 players who made the cut in all four majors.

Romero's first win came in his 12th start on the PGA TOUR. Romero had a crazy weekend on the way to his victory, as weather delayed play on Saturday and forced players to finish the third round on Sunday morning. Romero carded a 65 in the third round and a 68 in the final one but, since the players kept the same pairings from Saturday, he had to wait almost two and a half hours to see if he won. He ended up beating Peter Lonard by one shot.
When he captured his first title, Romero joined fellow countrymen Roberto De Vicenzo, Jose Coceres and Angel Cabrera as TOUR winners from Argentina.
Romero began the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup in 26th place after a consistent Regular Season. He played in all four Playoffs events and was 28th in the final standings.
