Kenny Perry shot a 65 in Round 1, followed by a 66 in Round 2, a 67 in Round 3 and a 70 in Round 4 at the John Deere Classic. This is the only the second time in his career that he has won a tournament in which he has shot higher in each consecutive round. The other time was at the Memorial Tournament in 2003 where he shot a 65, 68, 70 and 72.
This weekend's win was historic for Kenny Perry, as it was the 47-year-old's third victory this year. The last player to have three or more wins in a season at 45 years or older was Julius Boros in 1967. Perry is the oldest winner on TOUR in 2008 at 47 (he turns 48 next month) -- nearly 25 years older than the youngest winner, Anthony Kim at 23.
