May. 17, 2008
Jonathan Byrd, Kenny Perry
Tee time: 1:15 p.m.
Tee: No. 1
Total TOUR wins: 12
Why you should watch: Byrd opens the third round with a three-shot lead, but how big would his lead by had he not double-bogeyed the seventh hole in the first round? Byrd has racked up 15 birdies in only 36 holes, and it doesn't appear much can stop him. He ranks in the top 10 in almost every statistical category this week. Byrd had shredded TPC Sugarloaf's back nine, playing it nine under without a bogey.

David Toms, Parker McLachlin
Tee time: 12:55 p.m.
Tee: No. 1
Total TOUR wins: 12
Why you should watch: McLachlin overcame two double bogeys on Friday with an eagle on the 18th hole that put him back to eight under. With the playoffs looming only a few months away, McLachlin is well on his way to a solid spot in the 144-man race, and his 66-70 start at TPC Sugarloaf was the ninth time he'd made the cut in 2008.

Justin Bolli, Stewart Cink
Tee time: 12:15 p.m.
Tee: No. 1
Total TOUR wins: 4
Why you should watch: Call this one the Georgia vs. Georgia Tech pairing. Bolli played his college golf at UGA, while Cink, who played for Tech, still resides in the area. Bolli, a Nationwide Tour graduate, fired the best PGA TOUR round of the year on Friday to earn a tee time with Cink, who has been most of the most consistent players on TOUR all year. Bolli seems to be snapping out of an early-season
slump -- he finished tied for 40th at the Wachovia Championship two weeks ago for his best finish of the year. Bolli's round of 66 on Friday included a birdie-birdie-eagle run from the 16th to the 18th hole.
