Kenny Perry, Bernhard Langer
Tee time:
2:50 p.m.
Tee: No. 1
Total TOUR wins: 13
Why you should watch: No, ladies and gentlemen, this is not the senior-flight of THE PLAYERS Championship. Forty-seven-year-old Kenny Perry is leading at 6-under par and 50-year-old Bernhard Langer is just a shot back at 5 under. How did this happen? That's just how deep the PGA TOUR is. It should also tell you a lot about experience and how valuable it is around TPC Sawgrass. Between them, Perry and Langer have 43 appearances in THE PLAYERS (including this year). They may be older, but, respect your elders and don't expect them to fade on the weekend.

Anthony Kim, Boo Weekley
Tee time:
2:28 p.m.
Tee: No. 1
Total TOUR wins: 3
Why you should watch: Does this twosome look familiar? It should. They played together in the first two rounds and are together again for the third. It's safe to say that Anthony Kim has been one the hottest players in the world lately, if not the hottest. A week after his first TOUR win at the Wachovia Championship, Kim is in the hunt at THE PLAYERS after a 2-under-par 70 got him to 4 under for the tournament, just two shots back. There was a time when it was different and fun to have a guy named "Boo" in contention occasionally. It's still fun, but it's become almost a week-in, week-out thing. The fans are loving it and it appears as though Boo is too. With a 1-under-par 71 on Friday to go along with Thursday's 70, Weekley will go into the weekend at 3-under par.

Phil Mickelson, Miguel Angel Jimenez
Tee time:
1:33 p.m.
Tee: No. 1
Total TOUR wins: 33
Why you should watch: History suggests that you don't really have to be too concerned about the defending champion at THE PLAYERS Championship. Phil Mickelson could change that idea this weekend, however. He'll start the third round at 1-under par, trailing leader Kenny Perry by five shots. While trying to make up those shots, Mickelson will still need to remain patient and take what he can get as the course firms up. His playing partner Miguel Angel Jimenez has contended in majors in the past and has won several times on the European Tour. He'll start the third round at even par.
