Rock Solid Performance: Wagner in Houston

Johnson Wagner recorded his first victory on the PGA TOUR this week at the Shell Houston Open. Wagner led wire-to-wire, standing alone atop the leaderboard after each round. Coming into this week's Shell Houston Open, Johnson Wagner stood 188th in the FedEx Cup rankings. With his victory, Wagner moves up to 18th place in the FedExCup rankings, a jump of 170 spots.

Wagner played the par-3 holes to a 2.88 average, the par-4 holes to a 3.90 average and the par-5 holes to a 4.38 average during his victory this week. Over the past 25 years at the Houston Open, only one winner has played each of the par holes better. At the 2003 event, Fred Couples played the par-3, par-4 and the par-5 holes to 2.75, 3.85 and 4.31 averages respectively.
