Name: Paul Azinger
Birthplace: Holyoke, Mass.

More: Azinger, one of the most respected figures in the game, medaled at q-school in 1984 and has 12 TOUR titles. He is also the captain of the 2008 U.S. Ryder Cup Team. "I am honored to be the captain of Citi's mentor program," said Azinger. "I look forward to helping these players reach their full potential on the PGA TOUR."
In an almost 30-year career, Azinger has achieved plenty. He spent nearly 300 weeks in the top 10 of the Official World Golf Ranking between 1988 and 1994, and he still knows how to make it happen on the course. In 2006, he finished inside the top 125 on TOUR for the first time since 2002 thanks to a slew of top-25 finishes and a top-10 finish that season. His 12 wins took place over 13 years, with the first coming at the Phoenix Open in 1987 and the most recent coming at the 2000 Sony Open in Hawaii. Due to injury, Azinger was limited to only 13 events in the 2007 season and did not play after the Travelers Championship in June. He was granted a Major Medical Exemption and has 14 events in 2008 in which to make $611,111 to maintain his TOUR status. " Azinger full bio, click here
