The best players in the world are busy this weekend at the Sony Open in Hawaii, but many of them still have rooting interest in the games over the next two days.

PGA TOUR official Stewart Moore gathered some comments from players about this weekend's confrontations.

SATURDAY
SEATTLE vs. GREEN BAY

Jason Allred: From southern Oregon and his wife is from Seattle.
"I've been a Seahawks fan ever since I got married. I've been married for five years and my wife is from the Seattle area and her family loves them, so I joined forces (laughing)."

"We were waiting in the airport to fly here and our flight was delayed, so we got to watch the fourth quarter (of last week's Seahawks/Redskins game) and see the Seahawks win with 21 points in the fourth quarter. They came back and won, so it was a good flight delay."

Allred isn't that upset about missing the game since he'll be on the golf course.

"The only team that gets to me while I'm playing golf is my Oregon Ducks. The Seahawks aren't quite there, but if it works out that I can watch the game I will because I hope one of those teams (Seattle or Green Bay) wins it all. I love the Seahawks, but I'm a big Brett Favre fan, so it could be a win-win."

"I think it will be tough for the Seahawks to win in Green Bay, but they're a bad-weather team also, so it should be a good game."

Mark Wilson: Grew up in Wisconsin and is a lifelong Packers fan.
"I think with this job I probably won't be home for the Super Bowl, I'll be in Phoenix playing the tournament. My wife is a Bears fan, grew up a Bears fan. So last year she had a good year, got to the Super Bowl, and I cheered along with them a little bit. I'm not one of those Packers fans that absolutely hates the Bears. I cheer for the Packers, and if the Packers are having a rough year I'll cheer along with the Bears.

"I wish I could tape it somehow, but the place we're staying doesn't have a VCR or TiVo® or anything like that. We'll try to get the highlights on SportsCenter, I guess. Hopefully it's good. If they win I'll watch the highlights. If they lose I won't even bother.

"it's actually funny, my brother in law and sister live in Seattle, and my sister is still a Packers fan, but my brother in law grew up in Seattle. He's a big Seahawks fan, so it's going to be a fun little rivalry within the family."

JAGUARS VS. PATRIOTS

Fred Funk: Funk was a Redskins fan (and is still a big Joe Gibbs fan) before moving to Ponte Vedra Beach and falling for the hometown team.
"I think the Jags are the team that everyone fears the most in the AFC. I really like their chances in the playoffs, I just wish they didn't have to go to New England this weekend. The Patriots are just so good."

Brad Adamonis: Patriots fan
"I think it's going to be a tough game for the Patriots. The Jags have a very good running game. It all depends, I think, on the first 15 minutes. That's the key to the game. If Jacksonville can hang in there, maybe get a score on the board first and stay with them, then it could be a very tough game.

"The Patriots, obviously, are playing pretty well, but I think they'll have to really work to win, even though they're at home."

SUNDAY
COWBOYS VS. GIANTS

campbell.72.jpg

Chad Campbell: Born and raised in Texas and has been a Cowboys fan his whole life.
"Hopefully I'll see the first quarter (on Sunday, local kickoff being 11:30 am). I'll be flying out on Sunday night, and hopefully there will be another game after it so I won't have to TiVo it."

"I will definitely be asking the camera guys on Sunday how the game is going.Growing up in Texas, everyone is a Cowboys fan - unless you live in Houston."

"The big deal is that it's hard to beat a team three times (Cowboys have beat the Giants twice this year). The Cowboys have been pretty solid, but I didn't like the way they finished up the year. Their last three or four games were pretty sluggish, so hopefully they can get back on track. The Giants finished the season great, so hopefully we can take care of business this week."

"I think she (Jessica Simpson) will be there regardless of what I say, but I think most Cowboy fans would like to not see her there."

wagner.jpg

Johnson Wagner: Johnson grew up in Texas but moved to the greater Metropolitan (NY) area for high school. He never gave up his love for the Cowboys and considers himself a big-time fan.
"I think the Cowboys chances of winning this weekend are great. Romo has not been playing well lately, but I think the week off is going to help out a lot.

"To be honest with you, I think they're going to crush the Giants."
