Golfers of all levels will appreciate the 18-hole Monarch Beach Golf Links, referred to as "one of the quintessential golf experiences in the Golden State." The Robert Trent Jones, Jr.-designed course offers amazing views of the Pacific Ocean and is considered one of Southern California's most demanding and scenic courses.

The material in the bunkers contains crushed Augusta white marble, one of the most playable and aesthetically pleasing materials available. With tight fairways and undulating greens, the course will challenge players of all levels.

The Monarch Beach Golf Links has been host to nationally televised golf events with top golfers from all three professional tours. Money leaders from the PGA TOUR, Champions Tour and LPGA, including Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, Fred Couples, Tom Kite, Julie Inkster and Dottie Pepper, have spiritedly competed on this picturesque course.

The warm, sunny Mediterranean-like climate makes it ideal to lounge by one of several pools at the resort. Those who prefer the beach can take a short tram ride to the private beach club. Surf Butlers await to provide personalized surf lessons, and beach butlers assist with food and beverage service while setting up chairs, towels and umbrellas. Other beach activities include volleyball, body boarding and kayaking.

Several dining options are available, each featuring fabulous cuisine and impeccable service. Overnight resort guests have the opportunity to dine right on the sand and enjoy fresh seafood and the sound of crashing waves at the Monarch Bay Club. Golfers delight in the casual ambiance of Club 19, our clubhouse restaurant, while Motif is reminiscent of a European style café and offers the most spectacular Sunday Champagne Brunch imaginable. STONEHILL TAVERN features a sophisticated environment specializing in Modern American cuisine and Michael Mina's signature small plate trios.

Guests will discover a new level of relaxation at the luxurious Spa Gaucin and fitness center. Twenty-five treatment rooms, including four romantic couple's suites are ready to pamper guests with countless indulgences. Tranquility can be achieved by experiencing one of several massages, facials or body wraps. Signature treatments include the Ultralift facial -- an intensely moisturizing treatment designed to improve skin showing a loss of elasticity -- or the Aromatherapy Massage -- a soothing massage enhanced with aromatic essential oils.

Guests can also relax in the steam room, sauna, herbal sauna or whirlpool. Add to these a three-lane lap pool with an underwater sound system, a full-service salon and a movement studio, and there is little else one could hope to be pampered with.

Families can take advantage of the resort's Sandcastle Kids Club, where younger guests participate in exciting activities which range from wave-riding lessons, tennis or hula dance lessons during the day to pizza, movies and Karaoke at night. The club is for children ages 5 to 12.

Lastly don't forget to bring the family pet along as the St. Regis has a designated pet program designed to spoil every pooch that comes through the doors. Amenities include items such as a plush dog bed, personalized food bowls, delicious treats, and play toys such as the Sniffany & Co., Bark Jacobs and Jimmy Chew toys.

The St. Regis Resort, Monarch Beach is also host to several extravagant events with its magnificent ballrooms and picturesque lawns. Located at One Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, it is the perfect venue for families, group gatherings or for those looking for a secluded escape. Special events and live entertainment are offered throughout the year.
