Jose Coceres, who lost in overtime last week to Fred Funk in the Mayakoba Golf Classic, is making back-to-back playoff appearances on the PGA TOUR. Coceres is guaranteed back-to-back top-10s for the first time in his PGA TOUR career.

• Coceres is believed to be the first player to compete in playoffs in back-to-back weeks since David Duval, who won the Michelob Championship at Kingsmill and the Walt Disney World/Oldsmobile Classic in 1997. Tiger Woods won the 1999 World Golf Championships-American Express Championship and the 2000 Mercedes Championships (back-to-back tournaments but different seasons).

• Coceres posted five straight birdies (Nos. 1-5) to open the final round, tying the longest consecutive birdie streak on TOUR this year. His 5-under-par 30 on the front nine is tied for the fourth-lowest score for nine holes through 10 events.

Tripp Isenhour (T5) and Robert Allenby (T5) did most of their damage on the front nine -- Isenhour was 9-under-par while Allenby was 10-under-par.

• Robert Allenby (T5) notched his TOUR-best fifth top-10 of the 2007 campaign this week. Charles Howell and Jeff Quinney have four top-10s so far this year, while Jim Furyk and David Toms have three.

• Ten players have earned their maiden PGA TOUR victories at The Honda Classic. They are (1974) Leonard Thompson, (1979) Larry Nelson, (1986) Kenny Knox, (1990) John Huston, (1996) Tim Herron, (1997) Stuart Appleby, (2002) Matt Kuchar, (2004) Todd Hamilton and (2005) Padraig Harrington.

Boo Weekley will earn back-to-back top-10s for the first time in his career. He had his first career top-10 last week at the Mayakoba Golf Classic.

• The winner on Monday will earn 4,500 FedExCup points and $990,000. The inaugural FedExCup is a season-long points competition that culminates with the TOUR's first-ever Playoff system. The annual FedExCup Champion will be determined by points accumulated through the PGA TOUR Regular Season of 33 weeks and, following a points reset based on final player standings, performance in the four tournaments that will comprise the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup. The Playoff events, which will feature a progressive cut, are The Barclays in New York (144 players), Deutsche Bank Championship near Boston (120), BMW Championship in Chicago (70) and THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola in Atlanta (30). In addition to the title of FedExCup Champion, the winner will receive $10 million, the largest single bonus awarded in professional sports.
