SON SERVERA, Mallorca (AP) -- South Africa's Andrew McLardy and Ireland's Gary Murphy shot 4-under 66s on Thursday to share the early lead in the Mallorca Classic, with 60 players unable to complete the opening round because of thunderstorms.

England's Richard Finch also was 4 under with 12 holes to play on the Pula Golf Club course. Spanish star Sergio Garcia, the 2004 champion and runner-up the last two years, opened with a 68.

"I felt rusty on the front nine and struggled with a couple of tee shots, getting too narrow with my back swing," Garcia said. "It's the kind of course I like. Nobody shoots 18 under to win and the winning total always stays between 5 or 10 under."

Defending champion Niclas Fasth was 3 under after seven holes.

The top 60 players on the money list after the tournament will be eligible for the season-ending Volvo Masters next week at Valderrama.
