Pick: Henrik Stenson
Already a winner on TOUR in 2007 after taking the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship, Stenson has cooled off considerably in the last few months. His best finish in his last seven starts was a tie for 41st at the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational. It's time for Stenson to turn it back on, and Turning Stone might be a good place for the Swede after an unwanted week off after missing out on the FedExCup finale at THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola.

Pick: Steve Flesch
After a dismal first seven months of the year (10 missed cuts) he began playing as if his card mattered, contending at the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee (where he tied for fifth) and two weeks later winning Reno-Tahoe Open. Only his low FedExCup point total bounced him from the playoffs after the Deutsche Bank Championship. Perhaps that's a blessing, giving him a brief vacation before the push to the end of the season. He's 70th on the money list entering the Fall Finish and could conceivably vault into the top 30 and earn a bunch of perks and exemptions.

Pick: Stuart Appleby
Picking a winner was tougher than I expected this week, since Stuart Appleby, Robert Allenby and Henrik Stenson all seemed like solid choices. Allenby got crossed off, however, since he's coming off a six- tournament stretch in seven weeks and could be feeling the fatigue. Stenson hasn't done much since winning the Dubai Desert Classic and the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship earlier in the season, so I ruled him out, too. That leaves us with Stuart Appleby, who has earned four top-25 finishes in his last seven tournaments. Winless in 2007, the eight-time PGA TOUR winner could use a ninth victory to give him momentum heading into The Presidents Cup next week.

Pick: Harrison Frazar
It's the time of the year when you simply can't predict. The biggest boys are on holiday, and the fall fields are filled with untapped promise. Thought about Sean O'Hair, Steve Flesch and Charles Warren, but settled on Frazar. His season has been hit or miss, but when he hits, it's been very good. Plus, he opened with a 66 here last year.

Pick: John Rollins
He's the defending champ at this course, so why not on a track that is new to most after just a year in the rotation? He's had a disappointing second half, so winning this would make up for the months of mediocrity.

Pick: Rocco Mediate
I like him this week for a number of reasons. Obviously, he has had a pretty good year. But the other reason is that Rocco worked for GOLF CHANNEL in Hawaii for the first two events of the year. They pick up full four-round coverage of the Fall Series. Although Rocco was a better than average commentator, he probably won't be hoisting the mic any time soon.. However, I bet he would love to show off for his old cronies.

Pick: Carl Pettersson
He couldn't quite play his way into the finale of the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup, but Pettersson did manage a tie for 10th at the BMW Championship in his last start. He also has two ties for fifth in his last seven events. A week off and a new start to the rest of the year should pay dividends for the Swede.

Pick: Robert Allenby
How he doesn't have a victory this year can only be explained by these words -- that's golf. It's hard to say whether he'll have any gas in the tank after the Playoffs, but some players build toward a win after teeing it up several weeks in a row. He has the length to take advantage of Atunyote Golf Club. Can he make enough putts?
Champions Tour expert Lauren Deason and Nationwide Tour expert Dave Lagarde tell us who they think will win in North Carolina and Idaho this week:
SAS
I've been trying to be original and avoid picking Jay Haas every week, but let's face it - he's the Tiger Woods of the Champions Tour. Even if he doesn't win, Haas is going to find a way to make it into the top 10. He tied for second in Hickory, N.C., last week and the Greenville, S.C., resident will carry his unbelievable play from the western to the eastern portion of the Tar Heel State at the SAS Championship in Cary, N.C., this week.
Boise
Franklin Langham -- He has a solid record -- three top 10s in seven appearances -- and the lowest stroke average in the field, 69.41.
