Kris Blanks

Born in Warner Robins, Ga. ... Resides in Rincon, Ga. ... Age 34 ... Married ... Attended Huntingdon College ... Since turning professional in 1994, he has played in 26 Nationwide Tour events (best finish, T3 in 2007 LaSalle Bank Open) ... A Monday qualifier all year, he earned Special Temporary member status last week based on his $83,300 in earnings (54th on the money list) ... In nine starts this year, he has made six cuts and finished in the top 25 in all six... Interestingly, has the low scoring average on Tour at 69.43 ... Formerly a winner on the Hooters Tour in 2004 ... His wife, Tami, is a golf professional at Sea Pines CC in Hilton Head, SC and has beaten him nine times in nine years ... Says his biggest thrill in golf hasn't happened yet.

Since turning professional in 1997, he has played in two PGA TOUR events (including 2004 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills) ... Had his best Nationwide Tour finish last week in the National Mining Association Pete Dye Classic, T2, in his 22nd Tour start ... Made it to the final stage of the 2004 PGA TOUR National Qualifying Tournament.

Born in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada ... Resides in Chapel Hill, N.C. ... Age 41 ... Married w/two children ... 1990 graduate of Texas Wesleyan University where he earned NAIA All-America honors in 1988-89 ... Since turning professional in 1990, he has played in 145 PGA TOUR events (won 2002 Touchstone Energy Tucson Open) and 40 Nationwide Tour events (won 2000 Dayton Open) ... Is worldwide ambassador for Ronald McDonald Children's Charities of Canada ... Was the provincial and national speed skating champion in Canada.

Helped the Cowboys capture their ninth NCAA Championship in 2000 ... Earned second team All-America honors three times and a third-team All-America the other year ... Member of the 1998 Palmer Cup team and 1999 Walker Cup team... Since turning professional in 2000, he has played in nine PGA TOUR events (best finish, T18 in 2000 B.C.
